Monday, November 10:  Jeopardy review of chapters 5-7 for test on Tuesday.

Tuesday, November 11:  clicker test over chapters 5-7.  Extra credit essay questions handed out for those who chose to do it.

Wednesday, November 12:  delayed Veterans' Day activities with movie clips and poems to be sent overseas.

Thursday, November 13:  Introduce and Preview chapter 8:  Creating a Constitution.  Role play of how hard it is to make a decision with the Articles of Confederation.  Vocabulary flashcards.  due Friday.

Friday, November 14:  continue to debrief the role play activity of yesterday.  Read and discuss sections 8.1 and 8.2 in class.  Do preview 8 in ISN in class.  Make sure vocabs are done.  Shop for the role the students want to play in the reinactment of the Constitutional Convention.  Homework due Monday--make sure you have a complete set of flashcards (25 to be exact); read sections 8.1 and 8.2 for Monday and read over your person for the convention.

Monday, November 17:  quiz over vocabulary. Discuss the graphic organizer. Opening the Convention.  Read section 8.3 (Shay's Rebellion) and take notes in ISN. Read section 8.4 and take notes.   Begin to compare the Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation and the Constitution.

Tuesday, November 18:  Phase I of the Constitutional Convention.  Fill out your written plan based on the person you have (in class).  Open the Convention.  Homework:  you must read section 8.5 and 8.6 and take notes in your ISN so you are prepared for issue #1 (How should the states be represented?)

Wednesday, November 19:  Phase 2 of the Constitutional Convention.  Begin the debate over issue #1 based on the position your person is taking.  Know your information so you can debate with correct information.  Homework: you must read and take notes in your ISN on sections 8.7 and 8.8 so your are prepared for issue #2 (How should slaves be counted?)

Thursday, November 20:  Finish any last minute pressing arugments on issue #1.  Begin issue #2.

Friday, November 21:  Finish issue #2.  Homework:  you must read sections 8.9 and 8.10 and take notes in your ISN so  you will be prepared for the last issue (#3 How should the chief executive be elected?)
